The book
Every scoring head is a riser. The book either has the next one or it does not.
We do not "gap a set" as a slogan. We ink stations on vellum: 46, 50, 54, 58, or whatever stair your speed actually supports over Stockton turf.
Stations, not nicknames
A head that says 52 on the sole is a rumor until the interval chain agrees. Calista reads the face, then she writes the station the ball actually uses when Mormon Slough fog is sitting on the grass.
One shelf per number
If two clubs claim 115 yards in still air, the book has a collision. One riser is re-cut or retired. Kindness that leaves both on the cart is how Brookside scores get invented.
